Director BIO: Anaiis Cisco (BREATHLESS)
Anaiis is a MFA student in the Cinema department at San Francisco State University where she writes and direct films focusing on the experiences of underrepresented racial, ethnic, and gendered “minorities” in the United States. She received her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Film Studies at the City University of New York’s Queens College, where she produced STOPPED AND FRISKED (2013), a short film addressing NYPD’s unjust stop-and-frisk practices. Currently, she is working on her first year film Breathless, a racially-charged drama about race, gentrification, and police brutality in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, NY.
