First I want to say thanks to all of the individuals who gave feedback, that was awesome! My heart melted as I watched the feedback video. It was very encouraging to hear that the audience picked up on so many details from the music, to wardrobe, the relationships of the characters, the location(s), and most importantly the message. It felt great to see that people FELT something while watching JACKS. I’m just so filled with gratitude for this festival and everyone involved.

Though I could not attend since the screening took place in Toronto, I adored receiving an audience feedback video! I love what this festival does for filmmakers and that they use their own site to build a page around filmmakers and their movies. The feedback video was very cool and I plan to submit again soon.

Screenwriter Whitney Stewart (STEAL THE LIGHT)

I am interested in seeing more films by female writers and directors, and I like to see strong female leads. That’s why I submitted to the FEEDBACK Female Film Festival. I also wanted to watch/hear a table read, to help me in my writing. Of course, I hear my script in my head, but hearing other dialog interpretations is invaluable. After watching/hearing the read of my first scene, I’d love to see/hear more scenes read aloud.

After Hurricane Katrina destroys her home and career, a young journalist abandons everything to fulfill her German grandmother’s dying wish — to discover the fate of her brother who disappeared on the Russian Front of World War Two.

We were honoured to be nominated at TOFFFF and then to pick up the Best performances award was truly magical. Thank you TOFFF for this win and the recognition that such an award bestows. We’ve been really impressed at the lengths the festival has gone to bring films the maximum exposure via their interview segment and the audience reaction video. This is so very needed for young filmmakers esp making their debut. A massive kudos to the team for being fantastically communicative!
