SISTERS IN ARMS Short Film – Audience FEEDBACK from the July 2018 Female Festival (Toronto)

SISTER IN ARMS, 9min., UK, Crime/Drama
Directed by Jessica O’Sullivan

A female police squad arrive at a remote village in Northern Pakistan to question the villagers (mostly women) about two men that they are looking for. Before they leave they are attacked and shot at by three Taliban men. Returning fire they kill one Taliban before running for cover. All the female officers regroup except for the police commander’s younger sister who can not be found. Hearing shots and a truck driving away in the distance they run to the village edge where they can just about see in the far distance the younger sister being thrown out of the back of a truck and doused in gasoline by the Taliban. With the engine wires of their police truck cut and only an assault rifle to intercede the police commander races against the clock to save her sister from a horrendous death.
